We are an English family who moved to Corfu 10 years ago from the UK. We speak English at home and we live our traditional English way of life. English is widely spoken here: most local Greek people speak the language because of the large number of British tourists that visit Corfu every summer, and the large ex-patriot British community here.
Corfu is a beautiful, green island and attracts many tourists of all nationalities. The climate is mild, with hot and sunny summers, the sea is crystal clear and the sandy beaches are clean. The autumn and spring are warm and suited to walking and cycling holidays. Corfu is a very safe place to visit, with low crime rates.
We welcome guests of all abilities and ages. We have dogs, cats and goats as pets.

LESSONS and your COURSE

Jane is a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and has the CELTA certificate from Cambridge. She has over 15 years of teaching experience and many more of hosting student guests.
She will devise a course of lessons for you that meets your needs, interests and ability. So, if you have an exam to prepare for, or want to study some work related vocabulary, then this will the focus of your course.
Your lessons will be intensive because there will be just you (or perhaps you and a friend) and your teacher Jane, but we will work at a pace that suits you. There will normally be 15 hours of lessons a week, but more can be requested if needed.
Jane's teaching style is informal and friendly and she will always do her best to patiently help you with any problems you have so that you improve your English level. Best of all, your confidence will be boosted as you see improvement.
All your course materials will be provided, unless you want to bring your own coursework to study.
Stays can be booked for one week ( or a long week-end ) or more.

YOUR STAY

Most of our student guests stay singly or with a friend. But if you and your family, or even a small group of you wish to stay with us at the same time, we would be delighted to welcome you. Please enquire about special family or group rates.
Our family is sporty and will encourage you to join them in whatever they are playing. My local Greek students love to practise their English, so will invite younger guests to join them on the beach and meet their friends. However, if relaxing by the pool is what you wish to do, then this is fine.
Your accommodation will be in a twin-bedded room with private bathroom, with access to Skype and Wi-Fi. Our villa is large and offers a pool and ping-pong table. The local beach is 10 minutes walk.
All meals and non-alcoholic drinks are provided during your stay.
Transfers to and from the international airport in Corfu Town are included. We are located about a 45 minute drive away.
