Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires (the nickname which inspired the name of our school!), is famous all over the world for its University and place in history. Oxford is an ideal setting for this immersive, exploratory programme highlighting all the city has to offer. Our carefully planned lessons take a communicative and task-based approach and cover a wide variety of topics. Often they relate directly to activities and excursions which students will join during the programme. Students are encouraged to speak English at all times, during and outside lessons, as consistency and practice are fundamental to language learning.

University
Cambridge is the perfect place to be a student, not only because of its rich academic history, but also because the tradition of learning and academia is still an important part of its culture. Cambridge provides the ideal backdrop for our senior residential summer school programme. From exploring the university colleges, visiting the museums, strolling across the Mathematical Bridge or trying punting for the first time, the programme gives a truly rounded look at everything the city has to offer. In lessons, students are encouraged to draw on their existing knowledge of English and communicate freely with their international peers. Our teachers aim to create speaking opportunities, encouraging students to activate language and use it in a meaningful context.
